HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE TO BUILD MY HOME?
Because each custom home is unique, there is no way to tell exactly how long it will take to build. However, as a general rule, it typically takes about 4-5 months from the time we break ground. Factors such as bad weather and the number or complexity of change orders made during construction can prolong the construction time.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES DURING CONSTRUCTION?

Yes, it is called a change order. A change order is anything you want to add (or remove) to your new home. In some instances, we are not able to allow changes due to supply/order constraints and scheduling.

The following is a guideline to the change order process: From contract to selections you are able to make changes without a change order fee (item fees will apply). After selections are completed, there will be a fee charged for each item change. Once framing of the home begins, there can be no structural, electrical, or plumbing changes made. Once the home is under roof, there can be no more change order requests. Management retains the right to refuse any change order request, due to occurrences that may not allow for completion of the request.

HOW WILL I BE INVOLVED DURING CONSTRUCTION?
For your comfort and convenience, we will familiarize you with our procedures and protocols as we move forward together toward your move in date. Our goal is to insure your peace of mind and safety. We strive to provide a seamless transition from now to your closing, minimizing the anxiety that sometimes accompanies the process.

HOW DO I MAKE MY SELECTIONS?
Once the contract is completed, you will receive a call to schedule an appointment with your sales representative for your selections. Before your appointment, you may want to compile a list of any questions you may have or upgrades you may be interested in adding (a list of upgrade options will be provided). You may complete your selections as soon as ten days but please no later than 21 days after the date of your contract.

What should i expect in THE BUILDING PROCESS OF A NEW HOME?
While your home is being built, you may make scheduled visits to the home with your sales representative. You will have two mandatory appointments after the beginning of construction on your home. The first appointment will be the pre-drywall walk through. The second appointment will be your final orientation before closing. At the homeowner's pre-drywall walk through and final orientation, you may inspect the home and review all items to insure all is installed as ordered. At final orientation all systems will be explained to assure you that your new home is complete and ready for you and your family.

WHAT WARRANTY IS OFFERED WITH A NEW HOME?
See Warranty Information link at bottom of page.

what is considered a “standard” in a home and what is an “upgrade”?
One benefit to building with Phillippe Builders is that many of the things that we install in our homes are considered “upgrades” with other builders. We customize each home from concept to move-in with the features and specifications requested by each owner. We will make suggestions and provide each buyer with options from the latest in ENERGY EFFICIENCY, ideas and technology. See our Standard Sheet, in each sales center.
